In the blessed days of Ramadan, the Afghanistan Islamic Medical Association successfully conducted a specialized eye care camp and eyeglass distribution program in the Hawz Karbas area of Herat.

Held on Friday, 22 Hoot 1404 (24th Ramadan 1447) at the historic Jame Mosque of Sayyiduna Umar ibn Abdul Aziz (RA), the initiative was carried out by a dedicated 14-member medical team.

During this one-day program:

  • 280 patients were examined
  • 119 of them were women
  • 255 individuals received eyeglasses, primarily to support reading and recitation of the Holy Qur’an

This initiative reflects a continued commitment to providing accessible and meaningful healthcare services to the community, especially during spiritually significant times.

We pray that Allah (SWT) accepts the efforts of everyone involved in organizing, supporting, and implementing this program, and grants them blessings in this life and great reward in the Hereafter.
